Primary School Dean
Our primary school deans work with a collaborative learning support team to serve our community. The mission of the Primary Dean is to build relationships with the community that lead to positive student behaviour and increased engagement at school in both academics and extracurricular activities. The successful candidate will oversee pastoral care for students in the primary. This is a teaching position in that the Dean of Students has the responsibility to use and instruct from the Positive Discipline approach to interpersonal relationships.
Requirements / Recommended Success Factors:
- Experience with pastoral care for primary or similar age groups
- Experience with behavior management strategies and Social Emotional Learning
- Ideally knowledge of the Positive Discipline framework
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively and efficiently with parents, teachers, staff, and community partners
- A commitment to the primary goal of developing all students as per our Profile of an AISE Graduate as: inquirers, balanced, communicators, open-minded, collaborators, risk-takers, caring, reflective, thinkers, principled, and knowledgeable students and citizens of the world
- An excitement to join a professional learning community and engage in PLC discussions to impact learning
- Higher Education transcript of all courses undertaken, and grades achieved
- Minimum of three years of experience with pastoral care including student discipline
- Minimum of three letters of recommendation from current or previous educational employers
- Health Certificate verifying a clean bill of health from an accredited medical practitioner
